WHY JOIN LAMBDA CHI ALPHA

For over a century, Lambda Chi Alpha has distinguished itself at Indiana University for the outstanding social, academic, and leadership development of its brothers, but most of all the commitment of our brothers to one another. We are always looking for worthy men from any and every background to bring into our bond. Lambda Chi Alpha at Indiana University is fully participating in IFC formal recruitment for both semesters for the 2022–23 academic year.

If you have questions about the process or joining Lambda Chi specifically, please contact me, Casey Alderman at caalderm@iu.edu.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Lambda Chi Alpha - Alpha Omicron is searching for members who are passionate about engagement and leadership. They seek individuals who have a desire to lead and engage with others in meaningful ways. Whether it be planning an event, participating in community service, or simply creating a positive atmosphere, Lambda Chi Alpha members strive to make the most of their college experience. By actively seeking out individuals with these qualities, the Alpha Omicron chapter ensures the continuation of their tradition of strong leadership and community involvement. Potential members who fit this mold are sure to find lifelong friends and a supportive community within Lambda Chi Alpha.

  • Formal recruitment (“rush”) includes a series of open houses (“smokers”) followed by invitation-only events sponsored by the various houses. Freshman, Sophomores and upperclassmen may pursue membership at any time with a Fall and Spring Associate Class.

  • For the calendar, registration links, and regulations, see the Indiana IFC website section on recruitment.

  • Lambda Chi Alpha observes the recruitment regulations set forth by our national office, by the IFC, and by Indiana University.

PARENTS

Are you looking for a fraternity that will help shape your son into an even better version of himself? Lambda Chi Alpha (ΛΧΑ) at Indiana University may be just what he needs.

With its commitment to developing leadership and personal growth, this brotherhood gives young men of all ages an opportunity to challenge themselves and become successful in their future endeavors. The well-rounded environment offers members the chance to make valuable connections, build meaningful relationships, find clarity through community service projects, explore new interests like intramural sports or campus organizations and ultimately learn important life skills they can use beyond their time at college.

Inspired by the stability of over 100 years on campus (founded in 1917), Lambda Chi Alpha (ΛΧΑ) is proud of our commitment to academics and service (3.44 GPA in Spring ’23), the requirement of joining at least one service organization and a commitment of personal health through athletics and competition (Crimson Cup Champs in 2021-22).

Lambda Chi may be for you and your son!
